GILKHABAR\ ISNA: The 8th round of talks between Iran and P4+1 will be resumed in the presence of the top negotiators of all parties in Vienna on Monday
Vienna talks aiming at reviving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and removing all US sanctions against Iran began on November 29 in the presence of the deputy foreign ministers
Despite having many differences in various issues, the parties have been able to find significant solutions to resolve these differences
EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said Friday he was optimistic about saving the Iran nuclear deal, stressing that a deal remained possible
Sanctions relief, guarantees that the U.S. will never again renege, and the degree to which Iran has to roll back its nuclear program have been the most important topics on the agenda
During the previous round of the talks, the first under Iran’s new President Ebrahim Raisi, Iran presented new proposals at the negotiating table to help the talks move forward and later criticized the European signatories of the JCPOA for failing to follow suit and remaining passive
According to different sources and diplomats, during the Vienna talks a lot of progress has been made in four areas of lifting sanctions and implementing commitments, guarantees, verification, as well as lifting sanctions and the nuclear issue
In line with an agreement between the heads of delegations, the chief negotiators of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the three European countries returned on Friday to their respective capitals to handle their political affairs and to hold some consultations for two days
However, expert negotiations will continue non-stop and the return of chief negotiators to their countries does not mean the 8th round of talks has stopped
